Agile software development is a process that enables faster response to rapidly changing requirements using flexible design principles, patterns, and practices. The goal behind Agile is to obtain a process where there is no process or too much process by decreasing complexity.
Which is more effective?
SAP Implementations have applied ASAP Methodology for an extended amount of time. Therefore, the new approach in applying Agile is somewhat interesting in regards to sufficient results. Agile may be the required approach in bridging the implementation gaps for consistent improved success with the possibility of risks detection throughout the Full-Life Cycle Implementation. The idea of using Agile Methodology for ERP Implementation (SAP, PeopleSoft, HR Access) hypothetically can be stated as a method for minimizing risks based on the process of on-going, frequent testing within small cycles in opposed to testing post implementation-designing/customizing of the system. Full-Life Cycle testing after configuration and prior to Go-Live provide excessive room for delay in detecting errors and increased risks leading to unsuccessful outcome.
As one of the largest ERP Application, SAP Implementation can raise difficulty with the full-life cycle process to meet organization’s specific needs and requirements.
